Guided walk of Sowams Woods:

The Barrington Land Conservation Trust invites Barrington Middle School families to join a guided walk of Sowams Woods, a beautiful network of woodland trails off Washington Road. This walk is just for BMS families -- a chance for you to see one of the natural places in your hometown that have been preserved forever! This event is held in collaboration with Barrington Middle School.

BMS students should bring a notebook and a writing utensil to record observations, sketches, or whatever strikes their interest! You can take pictures, too. The Land Trust invites BMS students to transform those reflections into artwork, poetry, songs, essays, or anything that expresses your BIG PICTURE of the experience. Some of your creations may be posted on the Land Trust's website or social media.

There must be at least one responsible adult for each group of four BMS students. All ages are welcome, including siblings.

The walk will last about 45 minutes. The terrain is gentle. Dress for the weather and wear sturdy shoes. In the event of bad weather, the Land Trust will contact you to reschedule. You'll receive information on the meeting place and parking instructions after you sign up.

>Register for Saturday, April 15, at 9 am

>Register for Sunday, April 16, at 2 pm
