~ Spotlight on Learning ~

Do you know that this week, we had our 300th Spotlight Submission? That means we have had 300 members of our community take the time to recognize another member of our learning community. This, by far, is one of my favorite things to do every week! I love getting to shine the spotlight on our amazing learning community. Thank you for all of the submissions and for making BMS that much brighter!

This week, we would like to shine our BMS Spotlight on our Mathcounts Team! Congratulations on an excellent performance at the state MathCounts competition this weekend! The BMS team, consisting of Will Bucher, Terrance Fang, Alexander Fulton, and Theodora Watson, came in second in the state! Thea placed fourth in the state in the individual round and qualified for the national competition in Washington, DC. The following students also participated in the state competition and did an awesome job!: Angelina Ding, Emily Dong, Audrey Huang, Hiro Kitagawa, Ayush Kokkirala, and Gus Merrow. The MathCounts team has worked hard all year in preparation for this competition and their hard work paid off! We are so proud of all of you! (Nominated by Mrs. Orrall)

This week, we would like to shine our BMS Spotlight on Mrs. Boyle. She always provides a safe space in her classroom when people are feeling overwhelmed and just need someone to talk to. (Nominated by student Fiona Lea)

This week, we would like to shine our BMS Spotlight on Mrs. Canario. Mrs. Canario always makes my day better when i see her. She helps me through tough times and is always there for me when i need her. (Nominated by student Oliva Kinnane).

Do you know of a BMS Faculty/Staff/Student member who is shining bright? If you do, please complete the form below and we can include the nomination in an upcoming newsletter.
