BMS Spotlight on Learning!

This week, we would like to shine our BMS Spotlight on Mrs. Jaime Poirier. She is amazing and quite an asset at our school. Her strong relationships and communication with her parents are quite present.  She is great at problem-solving with students. (Nominated by a BMS Faculty Member)

This week, we would like to shine our BMS Spotlight on Mrs. Patricia Fedeli. Behind every success story is a teacher, whether inside or outside of the classroom, I nominate Mrs. Fedeli because she can adapt easily to every child's needs, she's very motivational makes learning fun and tries to make everyone happy, she encourages us to maintain a positive attitude with ourselves and toward schoolwork. Great work Mrs. Fedeli!  (Nominated by Student, Domenic Vargas).

This week, we would like to shine our BMS Spotlight on Mrs. Jordan Rodriques. Mrs. Rodriques is deserving of this spotlight because she helps new students (Nominated by a BMS Student).

This week, we would like to shine our BMS Spotlight on Mr. John Ferreira and our Custodial Staff. John and his staff provide all students and staff with a clean and safe environment. All day long he is contacted by walkie-talkie, phone, or text and he responds to any issue within moments. He is the first person at school every day opening the building, he is the guy out in the snowstorm running the snowblower so the school can open safely, he is the man out in the rain crossing our students safely at the crosswalks when needed, and of course, Mr. Fix It and Mr. Clean all in one! Well done! We appreciate all you do and for your dedication to us all. Thank YOU, John! (Nominated by a BMS Faculty/Staff Member).

Do you know of a BMS Faculty/Staff/Student member that is shining bright? If you do, please complete the form below and we can include the nomination in an upcoming newsletter.

Message from Chartwells K12 Regarding National Supply Chain Issue:

Over the past few months, you may have seen news stories about disruptions in the supply chain across the country, resulting from effects of the pandemic. Industries, including food and foodservice, as well as construction and automotive, have been impacted by manufacturing and labor shortages across the country in ways that we’ve never experienced before.

At Barrington Schools, students and families can continue to count on us for great-tasting meals kids love to eat every day, but as you may have already seen, there will likely be more frequent menu changes based on product substitutions from our suppliers.  Please click here for more detailed information about how this supply chain issue will affect our lunch program.

New Volunteer Orientation Opportunities:

If you are a new volunteer in any Barrington Public School, have completed a BCI, submitted proof of COVID vaccination to the BPS Volunteer Coordinator and have never attended a Volunteer Orientation in our district, it is required that you do so. Please plan to attend one of the following New Volunteer Orientation half-an-hour sessions:   Oct 20, 2021, 10:00 AM or 7:30 pm.  Please click here for the Zoom links.
