BMS Spotlight on Learning! This week, we would like to shine our BMS Spotlight on Dail Bienkiewicz. Dail has been a positive light since I started here at BMS, always thinking of how to help me in every step of getting up to speed here. Many times she will put aside her own task to show me the way for a new task for myself. In this crazy time of teaching and Covid it is hard for me to imagine how she can be so gracious and organized in order to guide me so well in my new role and not miss a beat in her own role for the greater good of our department! She defines teamwork = dreamwork! Thanks Dail for all you do!! (Nominated by Mrs. Armstrong) This week, we would like to shine our BMS Spotlight on Mrs. Nary, Mrs. Poirier, Ms. Sleboda, Dr. Tilotson, and Ms. Rodriques. As a part time SW, there is absolutely no way I could navigate the many moving parts and demands of my role without this amazing team beside me. They hardly ever get a break and always put their students first. It is an honor and privilege to work with them. They make a huge difference in their student's lives and I am so grateful for them! (Nominated by Mrs. Canario) This week, we would like to shine our BMS Spotlight on Mrs. Ouellette. Mrs. Ouellette is a kind and dedicated teacher who gives you a nice laugh when you are feeling down. (Nominated by Lime Cluster Student Seniha Kurt) This week, we would also like to shine our BMS Spotlight on our BMS Morning Show student team. In the absence of Mr. Altieri, these students demonstrated the 3 R's by maintaining a respectful attitude of collaboration, responsibility in preparation and conduct during production, and arrived early and ready to learn. This is a credit to their maturity and the excellent leadership of Mr. Altieri's mentorship. Well done team! Do you know of a BMS Faculty/Staff/Student member that is shining bright? If you do, please complete the form below and we can include the nomination in an upcoming newsletter. | ||||||||||

Lending Library: Razz cluster has been recently awarded a BEF grant for the purpose of building a miniature lending library that will be located right near the entrance to BMS. Students can borrow these books or choose to take and leave a book. This idea encourages students during the school year to utilize the resources at their fingertips, as well as during the summer months to maintain, expand, and improve their reading levels and their reading interests. We are looking for donations of new and gently used books to fill the shelves. Please consider donating to this worthy cause. Books can be dropped off to Mrs. Bento's room 1205.
