Let’s Celebrate the Many Languages Spoken at Barrington Middle School: This year, we would like to celebrate and recognize the various languages spoken at Barrington Middle School. If you would like to include the language spoken in your home, please complete the following link. | ||||||||||
Tennis: There are a few spaces left for 8th graders on Thursdays- starts this Thursday, 9/8. Sign up here. Sorry, but there is no waitlist for the fall; we hope to see you in the spring. | ||||||||||
BMS Garden: Student and parent volunteers are needed. Please sign up here. | ||||||||||
All Things GREEN: There is an informational meeting this Wednesday, Sept 7, 8:20am, for any student interested in the garden, composting, working at Barrington Farm School, or the Environment Club. Email texeiraj@barringtonschools.org if you cannot make it. | ||||||||||
PTO Corner: Welcome to the new school year from the BMS PTO! We are excited for the new year and a return to many of the events and activities that have been missed over the past couple of years. Here are a few PTO updates to start off the year:

BMS Robotics: BMS FIRST Lego League is holding informational meetings for students who may be interested in trying out for the BMS team. Please see the meeting schedule below if you are interested in finding out more information. Meetings are held in the 6th grade breakout space.

Drop-off/Pick-up Instructions: If you choose to drop-off and pick-up your student from BMS, please see this map for directions. | ||||||||||
Chromebook Insurance: If you are interested in purchasing optional insurance for your student’s Chromebook, please click here for more information. There are options for purchasing insurance for one, two or three years. Deadline for ordering is September 24, 2022 for purchasing. | ||||||||||
Early Pick-Up Reminders: Notes or emails to bmsattendance@barringtonschools.org are needed every time you need to dismiss your student prior to the end of school. Middle School level students are not allowed to bike home, even with permission by note. ID and a physical presence is required to dismiss your student early. BMS Spotlight on Learning: This week, we would like to shine our BMS spotlight on the amazing STEP Intensive team of Abby Halnon, Abby Scott, Sushma Mottana, and Manny Canario. You all work so awesome as a team and do a tremendous job with your students! I love coming into the classroom and seeing all the great work the students are doing and how engaging they are. Their progress is a testament to all of your hard work.
