BMS Winter Workouts:

It's time to sign up for Winter Workouts so we can have fun and work on fitness!  Please use this link to sign up. Please have your student bring this waiver to their first practice.  Click here for a flier with more information!

New BMS Club:  Magic the Gathering:

Mrs. Nozaki will be the supervisor for this new club at BMS.  Magic the Gathering Club meets alternate Thursdays starting January 12 in Room 2205 from 3:15 pm to 4:15 pm.  Please bring your own cards.  Contact Mrs. Nozaki at nozakib@barringtonschools.org with any questions.  See you there!

BMS Unified Theater:

BMS Unified Theater is deep into practices for their upcoming production “BMS Fairy Tales” on Friday, February 3 at 7:00 pm in the BMS Auditorium. To support this program, please click here to purchase a BMS Unified Theater t-shirt for only $12!

Drop-off/Pick-up Instructions:

If you choose to drop-off and pick-up your student from BMS, please see this map for directions.  Please note that the last early dismissal of the day is at 2:45 pm.

Early Pick-Up Reminders: 

Notes or emails to bmsattendance@barringtonschools.org are needed every time you need to dismiss your student prior to the end of school.  Middle School level students are not allowed to bike home, even with permission by note.  ID and a physical presence is required to dismiss your student early.  Please click here for full details about dismissing your student early from school.

PTO Corner: 

Welcome to the new school year from the BMS PTO! We are excited for the new year and a return to many of the events and activities that have been missed over the past couple of years. Here are a few PTO updates to start off the year:

  • Join the PTO: Become a member of the BMS PTO for $20 through our BMS online store. Proceeds go directly to the school and PTO programs and membership is required to vote at PTO meetings.

  • Volunteers needed: We are in great need of volunteers for the board (President, Recording Secretary, Corresponding Secretary) and committees (Book Fair, Hospitality, Fundraising, One Amazing Night, Variety Show, 8th Grade Celebration). Please email barringtonmiddlepto@gmail.com if interested or with any questions with no pressure to commit.

This week we would like to shine our BMS Spotlight our amazing custodians. Thank you for all that you do, and especially, for getting our building ready for the new year. The building looks amazing!

 

This week, we would like to shine our BMS Spotlight on Chef Anna. For our past two faculty events (Apples and Hot Chocolate), Chef Anna and her team have been instrumental in making these events a success!
