Empowering All Students to Excel
Good afternoon Nayatt Families,
With the potential of a storm coming on Thursday, please be advised of the following:
School will take place in person if conditions allow.
Virtually if it is a snow day
Independently if there is a power outage in Barrington.
How will I know what type of day it will be?
The Superintendent will put out a notice through the Rhode Island Broadcasters Association. Sign up for notifications RIBA.
The text message will indicate if school will take place through Zoom or it will be a non-Zoom day.
If it’s a Zoom day...students will participate in school via distance learning. Parents access the links and assignments through Canvas-.Nayatt Canvas Communication
If Thursday is a non-Zoom day, students will work on Day 1 of the packet sent home in early December and bring the completed work to school on Friday.
In the event that a teacher does not have electricity at his/her house but it is a Zoom day, we will send an email to that class indicating that it will be a non-Zoom day.
If we are a distance learning day, students will need access to technology, preferably their district issued device.
If you have a district computer and are experiencing problems with it, please use this form for your technology concerns and support.
District Communications:
Some of you did not receive the Superintendent’s message last night regarding changes to the calendar and inclement weather concerns. There were issues with Google gmail that prevented delivery. Although the district is going to resend the message, you may access it here.
Thank you for all of your assistance this year. Our Nayatt Community has really come together to help each other, sharing communication that neighbors did not receive is a great example of our kindness and connectedness.
Be safe and well.
