Barrington Public Schools (BPS) is educating students to be 21st Century Global Citizens in a 21st Century Global Economy.
Barrington Public Schools is located in Bristol County.
BPS serves students in Pre-Kindergarten through 12th grade.
BPS currently operates 6 schools: 4 elementary schools, 1 middle school, and 1 high school.
3 of which have been designated as Blue Ribbon Schools of Excellence by the U.S. Department of Education.
5 of which are recognized as a Commended Schools by the Rhode Island Department of Education.
BPS serves 3350 students.
Barrington High School (9-12) – 1101 students
Barrington Middle School (6-8) – 814 students
Hampden Meadows School (4-5) – 492 students
Nayatt School (K-3) – 321 students
Primrose Hill School (PK-3) – 308 students
Sowams School (K-3) – 238 students
BPS employs 285 educators out of our approximately 400 total staff members.
BPS proudly hails 22 National Board Certified teachers to date.
The BPS District's mascot is an Eagle.
BPS Athletic teams compete in the Rhode Island Interscholastic League.

Barrington High School Class of 2019 ranked #1 SAT School Day in Rhode Island.
Barrington High School, Barrington Middle School, Hampden Meadows Elementary School, Sowams Elementary School, and Nayatt Elementary School were recognized as a Commended Schools by the Rhode Island Department of Education.
Barrington School District recognized as the only Common-Sense Media Certified District in Rhode Island.
Barrington High School recognized as one of the most challenging high schools in the country by The Washington Post.
Barrington High School awarded Fuse Architect School Redesign Grant.
